Requirements and Qualifications
These minimum requirements should be referred to as a guide for, but not a limitation of the services required to maintain a building effectively. Staff will be required to perform the necessary work to maintain the optimum level of cleanliness in every building or work site serviced by FCS.
- Empty waste baskets and replace liners
- Dust/cleans tops of office furniture, table tops, chairs, blinds, etc.
- Vacuum all carpeting & spot clean as needed
- General restroom cleaning including toilets, urinals, floors and sinks
- Clean all glass windows within reach
- Sweep and mop tiled areas
- Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors
- Refill all restroom dispensers as needed
- Maintain janitor’s closet neat and orderly
- Maintain and clean Equipment (such as vacuums) at all times
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have good listening and communication skills. Some positions require the ability to speak English.
- Must maintain a neat appearance. A uniform will be provided and is required at worksites.
- Must attend periodic training and safety meetings.
- Must be able to understand and anticipate the needs of the clients.
- Must be punctual.
- Knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities very helpful.
- Must be able to lift, pull and push approximately 30 pounds (or depending on job requirements)-occasionally up to 3 hours
- Repetitive motion on a daily basis includes, but is not limited to: bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, squatting.
